Education Report - January 2002
We are holding a CWC class beginning in January 2002. The instructors are Becky Stewart and Holly Wahl. Currently we have 7 IWOT members signed up. The classes will be held once a week on Tuesdays, for 10 weeks beginning on January 8th, 2002 at The Hylant Group. Each person receives a certificate of completion plus this class counts toward the CPIW designation. The cost of the manual is $20.00 plus shipping. We would love more people to join us so if you are interested please let me know by January 2nd. I will be ordering the manuals on January 3rd. This should be a great learning experience and I guarantee we will have some fun.
The registration form for Education Night is attached. We are doing something a little different this year and I'm really excited about it. Our theme is "Who Wants to be an EDUCATED Millionaire?" Our night begins at 5:30 with registration, 6:00 is dinner and & 7:00 begins our program. We will have a cash bar from 5:30 until 7:00. All questions will be about insurance and two life lines will be given. Prizes will be given to every person who is in the hot seat and answers the questions correctly. Our very own Tommy Roemer will be the host of the program. I hope your curiosity is getting the best of you!! Please plan on attending and encourage everyone from your office to attend as well. Please mark the registration form if you would like to be a participant. The cost is only $22.00 per person and we have three different meals to choose from. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Bylaws - January 2002
We will be making some serious changes to our Standing Rules this upcoming new year. My committee and I will be getting together sometime in January to begin the overhaul.
In recent conversation with National, it is determined that are Standing Rules are not in compliance with National By Laws. Honorary Membership, Affiliate Membership, and Associate Membership wording will be carefully reviewed.

Community Service - January 2002
Holiday Greetings,
I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful donations to our December project. We collected $56 and several clothing items from our group of Insurance Women at the December's General Meeting. We greatly appreciate this wonderful amount of money, along with the Ha-Ha collected; we had $70 to spend for the homeless from our group. We were able to purchase 6 blankets, 6 sets of insulated gloves and 12 pairs of very nice socks.
I did open this
up to our office, The Hylant Group; we collected coats and
winter items. I am delighted to say that after our shopping and all the
donations were collected ($90 total cash), Stacey had a "stuffed"
trunkful of items to go to the less fortunate this Christmas season!
Thanks again
to all and just a reminder, we will be collecting again at
January's meeting, so if you have items at home that you would like to
contribute, please feel free to bring those in with you on that Wednesday
to the IWOT meeting. Thanks again to Stacey Dunbar for the delivery of goods
and the "contact person". This is a great cause because these items
are going directly to those that are on the street. If you have any
questions/comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at 419
259-6045.
Respectfully submitted,
Sandy Dobbins
