APRIL 17, 2002 - GENERAL MEETING

President Nancy Homan called the meeting to order at 5:50 pm at Stone Oak Country Club.

Correspondence: Nancy received thank you note from Kentucky State Association for attending Region IV Conference

Treasurer's Report: $1,500 in memory of Clara Vail will be donated to NAIW, Education Foundation

Committee Reports:

Programs: Donna led discussion on how to generate attendance at meetings as
attendance has been extremely low. Also, what we can do as an association to generate new members

Education: No interest in class for Rules of the Road, so idea of holding this class has
been dropped

By-Laws: Standing Rules changes as proposed by By Laws Committee, discussed/with few minor changes/voted on and passed. Changes to take effect immediately. New Rules will be printed in the bulletin and handed out at May breakfast meeting. Recommendation to remove the Jewelry and Sports appointed chairman from Standing Rules was approved by membership vote.

Legislative: Ohio Supreme Court revisiting Uninsured Motorist/Claims issues, detail will follow, see bulletin for full report of other pending issues

Long Range
Planning: No Report

Finance & Budget: Reminder, Current fundraiser, orders and money must be to Kathy Bartlett by May 3.

Membership: No Report

Public Relations: May Breakfast, in honor of NAIW Week, May 19 -25, to be held on May 8th at Inverness Country Club. Breakfast starting at 7:30. Announcement and sign up form will be in May bulletin

Safety: No report

Community Service: Education Day profits will be donated to the Cherry Street Mission, Battered
Women's Shelter. Amount to be donated $121.55.

Bulletin: Email notice now up and running. Don't forget to sign up.

Awards: Donna Wymer won Claims Professional of the Year at Region IV
Conference will represent Region IV at the National Convention in Anchorage, Alaska.

Employment: No Report

Jewelry: No Report

Sports: No Report

Reservations: There were 26 members in attendance, one guest $13.00 in haha, Michelle Johnson was haha winner, but was not in attendance.

Unfinished Business: There is no unfinished business

New Business: Nominations for 3 general members to stand on the Nominating Committee were, Deb Gaffir, Jenny Brunz, Sandy Powder, members were approved by membership, 2 members from the Board of Directors will be elected at the next board meeting.

Bills: There are no bills to be presented

Announcements: Breakfast, May 8th at the Inverness Club, General meeting will be held at
that time, Board Meeting April 23rd
